Hey, I’m so happy to be back talking with you! I was gone for a while. I’ve been working on a new direction for the blog and we’re launching it with a new aesthetic! I received a divine download on where I want to take this space.
My Journey Blogging So Far
I bought my domain in January 2024, built my whole website, and launched my first blog post on February 16, 2024! I was so proud of myself for doing that. Before this experience, I had been in recovery from emotional, verbal, and domestic abuse. I had just discovered the creative expression I wanted to pursue, which is blogging. I knew I wanted to blog since 2014, but because of the verbal abuse, I was in a state of fight or flight and couldn’t move or work on my personal projects. All my energy was consumed by living in a toxic environment. I started trying to heal myself in 2020, and during that time, I fell into New Age and Kabbalah techniques. Last summer, I found my self-worth, fully embraced my childhood faith (Catholicism), and started my blog. There has been no going back since that moment.
The One Skill That Brought Me Where I Am Now
Having a vision for my life and channeling the pain of verbal abuse into action rather than into crying into my pillow (though I still cry sometimes!). When I was verbally abused, I would take that energy and build my website or write content. I used that energy positively for myself. Now, I have been blogging for six months! I still live in the same toxic environment as before, but because of my sense of Christ-centered empowerment, I am better able to deal with it. This is why I am so passionate about Christ-centered personal empowerment.
