To move forward, it’s essential to first understand who you are in Christ. When we face pain or abuse, it can distort our sense of self, making us feel lost or unworthy. But the Bible reminds us that we are created in God’s image and are deeply loved (Genesis 1:27). We are not defined by our past or the lies the enemy has told us. Instead, we are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10), and He has a plan and a purpose for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11). When we root ourselves in this truth, we gain clarity about who we are and what we are capable of through His power.
Create Your Personal Vision for your life
Once you know who you are in Christ, you can begin to gain a vision for your life. Proverbs 29:18 tells us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This speaks to the importance of having a clear, God-given vision for where you’re going. Whether it’s standing up for yourself, pursuing a dream, or making decisions that prioritize your well-being, each step brings you closer to the life God has for you.

Isaiah 43:18-19 encourages us to “forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” By anchoring ourselves in God’s promises and focusing on our growth, we can begin to take steps toward healing and wholeness.
