When someone gives us a gift in life, we naturally feel grateful, but our gratitude towards God for all the blessings we receive goes beyond words, showing His endless grace and goodness, and recognizing that every good thing comes from Him.
I Felt Disconnected in Prayer
I used to have a lot of difficulty praying because I did not feel connected, it felt empty. Since I was really young in the Catholic Church, I always felt very connected to God when I was in adoration prayer or in deep praise of the Most High but I was judging myself for it and I was making wrong somehow. I felt that I should feel connected to God in all forms of prayer.
The Power I Experienced in Adoration Prayer
For me adoration prayer and praising God go beyond rituals; they are where I feel closest to Jesus Christ. When I didn’t feel the same intimacy in other forms of prayer, but I now understand that everyone’s connection with God is special, and we each express our love for the Divine uniquely. When I’m in adoration, I just pray from my heart, mind, and spirit. I think about God being there, letting His love surround me. I keep on praying until I run out of words, giving myself up entirely to His kindness and forgiveness. I like to keep things simple and peaceful when I’m in adoration – just kneeling quietly with my eyes shut, only a candle’s flickering light in the background. It’s in this calmness that I feel closest to God, where I can sense His presence and feel His love.
The Beauty of Praising and Thanking God
Praise and thanksgiving are not just acts of appreciation; they are an affirmation of God’s glory. They mean our recognition of His majesty and greatness. Just as we acknowledge and thank someone for their kindness, our praises to God are a form of reciprocity—a heartfelt response to His unfailing love and benevolence. In fact, Jesus loved us so much that he willingly gave himself up on the cross to redeem us. We need to show eternal gratefulness for Jesus suffering and adore God daily
Unlimited Reasons to Praise God
When I engage in adoration, I think about two important aspects. Firstly, I reflect on the beautiful qualities of God—how unique He is, how magnificent His glory is, how powerful He is, how creative His creations are, and how warm His love is. Secondly, I express my love, praise, longing, and adoration to God through my service. It is like a conversation of the heart, a special connection between my soul and His divine presence.
Adoration is way to connect with God
Adoration prayer is a great way to connect with God, feel His love, and show gratitude. It helps us remember God’s amazing qualities like strength, creativity, and love, bringing us closer to Him. When we pray quietly, we find peace, comfort, and a sense of being loved by God, which is truly special. As you start to really love and appreciate things, I hope you feel the amazing impact of His love. May you feel comfort and inner strength from Him, and may your heart be full of thanks and praise for all the blessings He gives you every day.
